8 March marks the International Women’s Day 2025 and we are joining the celebration, highlighting inclusion as one of our core values to build a workplace where everyone is seen, heard, and valued.
This year’s campaign theme emphasizes the importance of taking swift and decisive steps to achieve gender equality. It calls for increased momentum and urgency in addressing the systemic barriers and biases that women face, both in personal and professional spheres.

Why is Women’s day still important?
We have asked some of our Cegalians why International Women’s Day is still important to celebrate, read some of their answers below.
“It's a time to reflect on the progress we've made over the last century towards gender equality, but also to plan towards the incredible amounts of work that's still required”, says Keegan, Manager of our UKA sales team.
Randi Navarro, our Chief International Operations Officer adds: “To me, this day is important because it promotes equal opportunity for women and men across the globe, ensuring that we all have the same chances to succeed.”
“For more than a century, International Women's Day has been a symbol for change. It's been a moment to stand in solidarity with women across the world. And while we've made undeniable progress, the journey towards true equality is far from over. Because this day reminds us that every right we hold today was fought for by those who came before us, and that we have a responsibility to carry that momentum forward.”, says Celise Skaar, our Global Sustainability lead.
“By celebrating women's achievements and amplifying their voices, we not only honor the past, we build a future where every girl grows up knowing she belongs where decisions are made.”, Celise Skaar, Global Sustainability lead.
Faisal Ahmad, who works as Software Developer at our Oslo office believes “International Women's Day is important because it's time to celebrate women's achievements and keep pushing for gender equality.”
Dorte Møller, who works with sales and marketing in Denmark reckons “It is important still because there's not enough equality around the world. We are lucky in the Nordic countries, but we see many places that there's a big gap between what men and women are allowed to do and how they're looked upon.”
And Emilia Probst, who leads our People Experience team globally says “Personally, I really hope that one day I will be living in a world that doesn't need Women's Day to talk about the gender equality. But it's not the case as of now. So, it's here to mark that we all have responsibility in closing the gender gap.”
