Apprenticeship Program - The path to a fulfilling career in tech
There are many ways to a rewarding and meaningful career in tech, and one of them is by apprenticeship. In Norway youth have the option to choose to stay two years in high school followed by two years as an apprentice in a business within the area of expertise of their career path. The apprentice gets to learn on the job and gain valuable insight to work life and business.
Being an apprentice means learning a professional trade through a combination of work in a company and training at school or other educational institutions. The apprentice will work under the guidance of experienced professionals in the company and will have the opportunity to learn the trade by performing practical tasks and participating in projects. The apprentice will also attend theoretical courses and training to acquire the necessary knowledge to perform the job. Being an apprentice also entails responsibilities and obligations, such as showing up to work at the agreed-upon time, following the company's rules, and performing tasks in a professional manner. It is also important to be willing to learn and open to learning new things. Completing the apprenticeship and passing the exam will give the apprentice a trade certificate or certification as proof that they have achieved competence in a specific field.
In Cegal apprentices have been part of the organization for many years. We have many inspiring stories about how the apprenticeship was the entry point for exciting careers. The apprentices are recruited once a year. They apply when they are about to finish their second year in school, and we invite candidates to an interview to see if we are a good match

I chose Cegal for my apprenticeship because I have heard positive things about Cegal from my family and friends. I like the way I am included in the Servicedesk team to learn and look forward to embarking on the Customer Experience part of the training.
