In our team, the day starts off with a daily standup where we quickly discuss what we are working on and if we have any blockers. After that is usually the best part of the day for me focus and to try to solve more complex tasks, so I try to tackle something new or something I have been previously stuck on. In the afternoon, I switch towards tidying up my code, documenting my thoughts, or other simpler tasks. At the end of the day, I always write down a to do list, which helps me remember things, but it also gives me a clear idea on what I want to do the next day and allows me to think it over in the back of my mind.
I mostly work with our Prizm data science products that use Python programming against Petrel. I also sometimes use a bit of SQL or PowerBI.

I am a big science geek, especially when it comes to geology. I am lucky at Cegal to be able to work on practical solutions that are rooted in geoscience. I also love to learn new things, and there is always someone with domain knowledge or skills that I can learn from.
The work culture of helping others and sharing knowledge is fantastic in Cegal.

I really want to highlight what can be achieved with our Prizm data science software. I hope to spark ideas in the audience about how they can look at their own workflows and see how they can automate, add to, or improve them with Prizm and Python. A lot of work has gone into these products from development, testing, and sales, and I want to show people the good work that is being done by all these different teams in Cegal.

There are a lot of very interesting presentations in the program, so I am expecting that being at the conference will generate lots of new ideas .
I am not a bit fan of quotes, but I like to go trail running and the one phrase that seems to pop into my head when I am struggling on an uphill section is “constant effort, not constant speed”. It is probably a useful phrase when it comes to work as well.

I am still occasionally working on a couple of research projects with friends from NTNU and NGU. One of which is about what causes deep earthquakes in places where the continental crust is splitting. We found some amazing rocks in Northern Norway where you can see where the force of the earthquake was so high that I melted the rocks (maybe even up to 1600 degrees). There are only a few places in the world where you can see this in those types of rocks, making the samples rarer than diamonds.
Looking at some gneiss rocks.
