I work closely with many people at Cegal, and there are often many meetings and phone calls during the course of a day - and many of the meetings are online via teams. It has been wonderful to have new offices in the center of Oslo. There are meeting rooms and workplaces of all kinds. I love small talking with colleagues - you get to know people in a completely different way when you can work from the office - and not as it has been during the pandemic.
A working day for me is very varied. I work with management, sales, and perhaps more across the organization than many others.

I have worked for many years with Oracle technology - and especially within integration and middleware. Both in development and operation. Over the past few years, I have also become more familiar with Java/Open Source technologies and Microsoft/Azure, but am not hands-on with them in the same way.
Through my colleagues, I have learned a lot about this, and now feel that we sit on an integration team that is one of the best in Norway - we have the advantage that we often know both the customer's old and new integration platform. The fact that we can help customers in such transitions - whether it's to the cloud or onto new platforms, I know we have good knowledge of many of the options that exist.

"We are very good at integrating different types of applications! And we have an extra edge within the energy industry."

I now have a new role as head of Development within Services - and now lead a group of around 50 employees who focus on application development. They work with traditional application development as well as LowCode to be able to develop the applications faster. We are specialists in Oracle APEX - and something we have worked with for a long time. It has been extra fun that our investment in APEX is beginning to yield results with more employees in Hamar and many new customers. Often it has been as part of a cloud migration, and we can also take responsibility for operation and application development. Application Development in Haugesund is also part of my organization, where we have been important to several clients such as Vigilo. What I think is fun is seeing how our Fullstack team in Oslo has created a Design System that enables us to develop applications that have good UX and accessibility.

Having worked for so long at Cegal, I know the people here well and know what they are experts in. We have some very talented people - and seeing them inspired by exciting projects is probably what I think is the most fun.
"Being able to put together teams that solve clients' projects and challenges is something I really love."
Jon Petter
I have been able to help create a job that I really enjoy, and I get to work with extremely talented people. Since I joined Cegal, we have grown a lot.
We now have a large Oslo office, as well as the fact that we also have colleagues who work on the same things as us in Sweden and Denmark. We are growing and doing well, which makes it extra fun to be here.
I have worked with Oracle Fusion Middleware for many years, and on the Oracle Stack, we are now one of the strongest in Norway. It has been exciting to see some of our larger projects go live on Oracle Cloud, and it has been fun to be part of the journey to becoming skilled at Azure integration and open source.
What I like best about Cegal are all the employees who go the extra mile to ensure that we come up with good and effective solutions for customers.
This week I've been in London on the Oracle CloudWorld Tour with some of our customers - it's great fun getting to know them better and learning the latest news from Oracle.

I always have high expectations for OUGN. This time it is on land in Oslo, and it has been several years since the last conference. I look forward to meeting acquaintances and getting to know new ones. I have learned a lot at conferences and seminars over the past 15 years - made valuable acquaintances and kept myself professionally up-to-date. The fact that we have an Oracle user group that has an annual conference, as well as regular meetups, is a very important arena - and something that everyone should support. I am particularly interested in hearing about other customers' and partners' experiences with Oracle Cloud.

I am very interested in old houses and conservation buildings - and old furniture. Our farmhouse in Sweden is 250 years old, and seeing how old methods still work best for maintaining windows and e.g. I like having clay plaster on walls. This has been a long-term project, but that feeling of waking up on a sunny day in an old house with old furniture - feels really good!
With three children, there won't be a lot of free time, but luckily the youngest girl likes to go to the pool - and so do I. Now she has learned to swim. At Easter it was time to start with some alpine skiing, there were good conditions both in Drammen and in Kongsberg.
