Is there a typical work day? I would like to say that no two days are the same. I am usually in the office on Sveavägen in Stockholm. It's like a bag of "Gott&Blandat" (Swedish candy) with a good mix of all tasks. I have a lot of customer meetings and meetings with my colleagues, which also includes personnel management.
My job also includes budget planning and financial follow-up together with service development and business development. In addition to the above, I also spend time on recruitment and of course also reporting. As you can see, I do many different things in my role as CEO of SQL Service.
Nowadays, I don't work with technologies in the same way as I did when I worked as an SQL Server developer and was doing performance optimization.
As a CEO, I mostly use different tools, namely Fortnox, Oxceed (program for budget and forecast follow-up), Milltime, Dynamic CRM, Power BI, Azure Ad and Intune, which is a tool for managing computers and phones.
I've always been a real brainstormer. As a 25-year-old, I started my first company together with a partner. The company is called Clavister and is today listed on the stock exchange. It was a consultancy where to give an example, we built the urban network in Örnsköldsvik. The USP at Clavister was our proprietary firewall that won the Network and Communication Firewall test four years in a row. It was thus the firewall that drove Clavister forward, it was the one with the best future potential.
I always see opportunities and come up with ideas on how different things can be improved, which is a typical characteristic of an entrepreneur.
Perhaps it is my entrepreneurial spirit that has been a contributing factor to the fact that SQL Service has gone so well since I took on the CEO role in 2018. Before that, I had worked as a vice CEO, but as CEO I was given a completely new responsibility and was thus not limited to someone else ruling.
We have worked hard to build the SQL Service brand, and we can happily see today's results in high pressure on inbound marketing. This is a work that everyone has been involved in and contributed to jointly and is something I am really proud of.
I'm really passionate about my job, I think it's fun to develop the business, our services, our employees, and of course our customers. Therefore, I also see it as a leisure activity.
It feels great to be part of a larger organization where we are comprehensive on the database side in Sweden.
It must still be that we have very good employees, and a good community where we all share the same passion for databases.
I am proud to work in Sweden's best company within databases.

Teams to be able to communicate with employees and customers.
This is not exactly a quote but I like Carpe Vitam which means catch life. If I had to choose a real quote, it would most likely be the following.
In the end we will not remember the words of your enemies, but the silence of our friends.

I studied to become an aircraft mechanic in Västerås. You might not have guessed that, given that I ended up far from the airline industry. 😊 During my studies I coded my first invoicing program on a Commodore 128.
Otherwise, I think genealogy is fun and can share the information that I am a descendant of Gustav Vasa.
