What does a typical workday look like for you?
After leaving my kids (3 and 6 years old) at kindergarten and school, I might have a stand-up meeting or dig in and get my hands dirty immediately. I work mostly from home, but I also enjoy being on location or at the Cegal office.
Which technologies do you work with?
My main tools these past years have been Power BI and T-Sql, but I constantly learn new stuff. Almost every problem needs a little bit of stepping outside the comfort zone and the legendary box, and for me – that's a way to stay curious and continuously update my skills.
Which systems are important for you and Cegal to achieve success?
Azure and MS Fabric are great things to have under the belt right now. With so much happening in the cloud area it is important to customize and specialize services and flows with client needs in mind. I see an increasing demand for streamlining and automating everything related to data and reporting.
Do you use AI in your job, and how?
I am expanding my expertise into AI engineering within Azure, embracing the journey of continuous learning that our industry demands. Additionally, I leverage the capabilities of Large Language Models such as ChatGPT and CoPilot. These tools are invaluable for generating and reviewing code, illustrating our commitment to innovation, and supporting our pursuit of technology excellence.
What drives you at work and in your role, and what's fun?
Oooh, many things. But I enjoy the satisfaction that comes from challenges overcome. There is nothing better than getting that feeling of overview and control over a problem and then executing the solution.
What is the best thing about working in Cegal?
The people. No question.

Is there anything else fun we should know about you?
Well, when I’m not doing this I’m a performing concert pianist. In addition to that, I run a lot.
The last thing I want to mention is that I believe I have visited every station in the metro and commuter train system in Stockholm (my son had a period of interest in trains). I also binge-watch science communication videos daily.
