What does a typical workday look like for you?

Working as an advisor and consultant for our clients means each day brings new and exciting challenges, making it a dynamic and engaging experience. My main focus is on tackling complex issues that directly impact our clients' strategic goals. From identifying the right security measures to devising plans to achieve them, my days are filled with strategic initiatives. And of course, no day starts without a comforting cup of coffee to kick things off.

Which technologies do you work with?

I do not work with any specific technologies. As an advisor in Cyber Security Management, I work at the intersection of IT and business. It involves a lot of methodology and frameworks. All clients are different, and therefore it is necessary to understand the organization, their culture, and goals when assisting clients in solving problems.

What is important to remember when working with cyber security/information security?

You can go far with solutions defined as basic IT security systems and good training of employees.

It primarily involves having in-depth knowledge of your own industry and values, as well as a clear understanding of potential threats. This should form the basis for a pragmatic approach based on risk assessment before considering investment in more specific and often more complex security systems and solutions.

Do you use AI in your job? How?

EVERY DAY!
I am a frequent user of GPT4. I mainly use GPT4 as a sparring partner for most things. Everything from cool functionality in PowerPoint to assistance with clarifying messages to individuals and organizations.

What drives you at work and in your role, what's fun?

I am driven and thrive when I understand the clients' strategies and processes and how we can help them become more secure and efficient in the face of the increasing threat landscape.

What is the best thing about working in Cegal?

The professional environment I have around me and all the exciting client issues I get to be a part of solving. At the same time, it is important to highlight flexibility and a balanced workday that allows for both work and leisure time.

I really enjoy going to rock concerts and festivals around Norway and abroad 🎸🔊.
