What does a typical workday look like for you?

My typical workday is often driven by the client's project I am working on, but it usually involves a mix of meetings, preparations, analyses, and work behind the scenes. Some assignments also require me to immerse myself in the client's reality to understand how their business operates, which adds both interest and value to my work for the client.

Which technologies do you work with?

My focus is not solely on technology, but rather on governance within information and cybersecurity. This includes ensuring the organization follows its internal regulations and policies and overseeing vendors in particular projects. With my technical background, I also occasionally provide support in cybersecurity technology, such as SIEM (e.g., Elastic, Splunk, Sentinel, etc.), firewalls, end-point protection, vulnerability scanning (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, etc.), and more.

Do you use AI in your job, and how?

While I may not have extensive experience in utilizing AI, I am dedicated to enhancing my skills in this area. I am intrigued by the constant evolution of technology and its potential applications. One example is the tests I have documented in my blog post regarding AI and SQL injections, Is it possible for AI to detect SQL injections using free models?

What drives you at work and in your role, and what's fun?

Being able to contribute to positive change in information and cybersecurity, ensuring that my work delivers results for our clients. Furthermore, I actively participate in industry discussions to share valuable insights. I achieve this through blogging at Cegal and participating in dialogues on platforms like LinkedIn.

What is the best thing about working in Cegal?

Which app do you use the most and why?

BankID is my top choice for the most widely used app, given its substantial impact on securing digitalization in Sweden.

What is your favorite quote?

I have never tried that before, so I am up for the challenge! 

This mindset is essential for tackling new opportunities and growing as a person.
 

Is there anything else fun we should know about you?

I have recently become fascinated by vintage computers and video games from the 80s and 90s, particularly in the art of restoring and repairing them. I find solace in spending an evening with a soldering iron in hand, skillfully fixing and bringing these gems back to life, offering a much-needed break from the daily routine.
