What does a typical workday look like to you?

Get into the office around 07:30, grab a coffee and pick up where I left off with the projects I am working on. Grab some lunch and 30 minute walk if the weather allows. Finish up for the day around 17:30.
Currently working on numerous data rationalization projects within the UK. I also help out with the support calls when needed and act as a mentor for others in the team.

Which technologies do you work with?

Petrel, SQL, Python, PowerBI, Blueback Project Tracker, Blueback Seismic Data Manager, ArcPro. 

• Blueback Project Tracker  is a tool that allows the Data Management team to keep track of their ever-changing Petrel environment. It gives them the information that they need to make informed decisions around the data. Some of the latest improvements that have been introduced, I believe, take this product to the next level. Add to that the options for Project Tracker data visualization then you have a set of tools that shows everyone in the organisation what they need, and would like, to see. • Seismic Data Management (SDM) is an enterprise level seismic catalogue that allows you to see your seismic data wherever it is on your file system. With SDM we are able to ingest the seismic data and display the live traces on a map front end that can be deployed company wide. We are also able to prepare the data so that it is ready for use in interpretation packages. Want to know more about this >

Which app do you use the most, and why?

Blueback Project Tracker – Most of our clients have issues with volumes of Petrel data and this is the leading application to help with that.

Is there anything else we should know about you?

Whenever I have some spare time you can usually find me on the golf course, at the side of the rugby pitch coaching or up a mountain.  About to become a father for the first time so my spare time will disappear. Although I’m sure I can find a golf attachment for the pram.
