SYSCO EnergyX is the name of the new department at SYSCO Energy Solutions, which aims at delivering the next generation of IT solutions for the oil and gas sector. For the time being the department counts 8 employees, who all boast long-standing experience from the oil and gas industry. At this stage the oil capital based company is ready to contribute to the green revolution. 

We’re familiar with the industry’s upheavals, challenges, and potentials. Most of us boast at least 15 years in the business. That makes us particularly well suited to working with the customers in developing the new technological solutions, methods, and tools that will give companies a competitive edge in the time to come  says Geir Olav Hagen, Head of Section for SYSCO EnergyX. He describes the new department as energetic and innovative. It houses smart IT brains who amongst other have participated in developing IT systems for production reporting, which has become the standard of all major oil companies around the globe. All staff members boast long-standing experience within business analysis, processes, products and systems development.

We launched the department this summer and have already landed a number of consultancy assignments. EnergyX wishes to help oil and energy companies make their production more efficient in a sustainable and forward-looking manner, through developing niche products within the entire hydrocarbon value chain. We’re currently working on a number of products and ideas in cooperation with our customer relations, nationally as well as internationally, Hagen reports.
