Offshore Norway has extended and strengthened its collaboration with Cegal on the management and operation of digital services. With closer cooperation and a transition to a more proactive and agile working method, Offshore Norway will have a digital platform equipped for the future.

Offshore Norway is an employer and interest organization for companies operating on the Norwegian continental shelf. In addition, Offshore Norway manages shared services on behalf of Norway for all companies operating on the shelf. The services are delivered through the Collabor8 portal. The offshore industry's digital collaboration platform provides access to the services necessary for the players on the shelf to carry out statutory information sharing and regulatory reporting. Collabor8 also reduces unnecessary duplication of effort.

We have had a constructive collaboration with Cegal for many years. We are therefore pleased that we have now reached agreement on a future-oriented and cost-effective agreement.

Cegal has been one of Offshore Norway's IT partners for a number of years. The agreement with Cegal has now been renewed and extended with a framework of five years (3+1+1). The new agreement is based on the Cegal Agile IT Governance service and specially adapted to Offshore Norway's needs.

The new collaboration model is based on transparency, trust, efficiency and a proactive dialog with the customer.

Lukas Ziolkowski, Senior Customer Success Manager at Cegal

The new agreement with Offshore Norway means that Cegal delivers a scalable, flexible IT service that connects business goals with IT operations. The agreement ensures that the business's strategic goals are supported by the IT platform and the right IT solutions. The agreement framework consists of agile principles, transparency, iterative processes and continuous improvement to maximize business value.

- The greatest value of this delivery model is an agile working methodology. It ensures quick clarifications and efficient processes. As a result, operations and development can be effectively adapted to new needs, Ziolkowski continues.

Reduced risk and better decisions

- We've also reduced risk and improved decision-making processes, which has strengthened collaboration between the parties. This has created a platform for future growth and development for Offshore Norway, with a solution that is adapted to their needs now and in the years ahead, says Ziolkowski.

As part of the delivery, parts of Offshore Norway's IT infrastructure will be moved to Microsoft Azure.

- One of the areas we will contribute to is collaboration and standardization for the players on the Norwegian shelf. The oil and gas industry has a lot of reporting requirements. Together with the industry and good subcontractors, Offshore Norway contributes to joint value creation by simplifying and standardizing reporting. In addition, secure sharing of information and data is another important area, says Knutsen of Offshore Norway.

Over a hundred companies are members of Offshore Norway.
