Humanity at Cegal hosts the annual Christmas Sweater Day!

True to tradition - on the third Friday in December, Humanity at Cegal organizes the annual Christmas Sweater Day - to raise money for a chosen cause.

We put on our Christmas sweater (or the Christmas suit, hat or socks) for a nice day at the office where we gather for mulled wine, gingerbread, entertainment and a raffle. We run a live, global event where employees from all over Cegal globally can follow the raffle and prize draw digitally - and where the Christmas spirit is streamed from employees at various locations. The prizes are sponsored by our partners and customers.

We at Cegal want to help someone who really needs it. This year our contribution goes to the Red Cross and their support for the people affected by the hunger crisis in Africa.

Africa is experiencing one of the most alarming food crises in decades - it is enormous both in severity and geographical scope. Approximately 146 million people suffer from food shortages and are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance.

The crisis is due to both local and global factors, including insecurity and armed conflict, extreme weather and climate variations. Through this regional emergency aid, Red Cross Societies across Africa ensure the protection of millions of people's lives, livelihoods and future prospects.

Humanity at Cegal is an independent organization that was established by Cegal employees in September 2015. Today, we are part of Cegal's sustainability strategy, with three important focus areas - contributing to a better environment, taking social responsibility and being a responsible actor. We partner with local and global organizations to help support, or finance, local humanitarian or international development projects. We focus on projects that are related to the company's values, our core competence and our hearts.
