This has resulted in new services, improved customer satisfaction, higher income, and lower IT spending. It’s the first time a Nordic IT vendor has won the Oracle Innovation Award.
At Oracle CloudWorld 2024 Las Vegas, Oracle announced that Cegal won the 2024 Oracle Partner Awards—Cloud/Technology Europe North East Innovation Category. This is the first time a Nordic IT partner has been named the Innovation Award winner.

A concrete digital transformation project at one of Norway’s most significant car companies led Oracle to name Cegal as the leading partner in the Cloud/Technology Innovation Category for Europe North East. With a lift-and-shift project to the Oracle Cloud, the company gained a modern technology platform that supports new services, improves customer satisfaction, lowers IT spending, and higher income.
This award highlights partners that produce thought-leadership-level solutions that empower Oracle customers to meet their business goals and challenges through the partner’s innovative solution. Partners considered for this award have developed solutions integrating multiple Oracle technologies and products and integrated a third-party Oracle technology partner into their solution.
Dagfinn Ringaas, CEO of Cegal, says: “We are extremely proud to have received Oracle's Innovation Award for the first time."
This shows that we have succeeded in developing our employees and are continuing on our way to becoming a stellar, global tech company.

Big business gains from cloud lift-and-shift project
Oracle was especially impressed by the work at one of Norway’s most significant car companies, with over a hundred dealers. The business includes, among other things, import, service, and car workshops. The cloud lift and shift project has given the company great business value, new business opportunities, and a good return on investment (ROI). By migrating to Oracle Cloud and modernizing with cloud-native applications, some of the gains were:
- A robust, secure, and scalable operational platform for Norwegian dealer systems.
- Enable the use of modern service management tools.
- 24/7 operations for customer-facing services.
- Reduced license cost.
