Cegal hires Chief Product Officer to strengthen its renewables investment

Cegal has hired Kersti Ekeland Bjurstrøm as new Chief Product Officer. She comes from the wind energy tech company WindSim and will play an important role in Cegal's commitment to renewable energy solutions.

Ekeland Bjurstrøm has a degree in industrial mathematics from NTNU in Trondheim. Among other things, she has worked in SPT Group and SLB with technology for the oil industry and now comes from the position as Chief Product Officer in WindSim, a company that develops advanced simulation software for the wind power industry. In Cegal, she becomes part of the executive management team.

I look forward to using my experience from business and product development to strengthen Cegal's solutions for the energy industry. I also have a strong desire to contribute to the green transition and support customers in the transition to more sustainable energy production.

Kersti Ekeland Bjurstrøm

Kersti will be responsible for Cegal’s Products Business Unit, and for developing leading products and services for the energy industry. 

The transformation of the international oil and gas sector and the shift towards renewable energy sources is now happening at a furious pace. Modern, cloud-based technology that simplifies complex IT solutions is the key to success. Cegal has extensive experience in digitization and modernization with customers in all parts of the energy industry. 

Ekeland Bjurstrøm starts in Cegal 9th of May 2022.
