Since its start in 2019, Sval Energi has grown significantly, and is today one of the largest oil and gas producers in Norway. Sval has had an IT operations agreement with Cegal since its beginnings. It has worked well, and Sval now chooses to extend and expand on this.

The new multi-year agreement is worth tens of millions of Norwegian Kroner and was signed on Friday. Cegal will also take over the employees of Sval's IT and Subsurface Data Management departments, who will work at Cegal's offices in Stavanger and Oslo.
The new agreement is an extension of the current agreement, which includes scalable IT infrastructure management, application management through Cegal's cloud platform, Cetegra, service desk, and Subsurface Data Management. The new partnership agreement means that Cegal will have greater responsibility for advising, administering, and developing Sval's IT portfolio to ensure that the IT platform constantly supports the company's needs and objectives. The effective date of the new agreement is May 2023.

We facilitate so that the company can quickly make good, overall decisions in the span between IT and business," says Dagfinn Ringås in Cegal to conclude.
