UX stands for User eXperience design. The applied knowledge of how to design and develop websites and applications to provide the best user experience for all user groups. The focus is on ease of use, utility, desirability, brand perception, and performance.
Although many associate UX with UI design, there is a certain difference. As already mentioned, UX stands for User eXperience and UI stands for User Interface. So, if we look at it a little more broadly, we can say that UI is part of UX, but UX consists of more.
A good user experience says something about how easy and intuitive a system is. How easy is it to carry out what you came to do, and what is the system’s perceived utility value? In addition, when looking at performance; how fast and responsive is the service perceived by users? In short, UX is therefore about how the front end of a service is experienced by the users.
At Cegal, we have a strong focus on developing user-friendly services. It is important to us that the services we provide are experienced as useful, simple, responsive, and good.
We have an already large, but still growing environment in Cegal that has UX as its professional field and area of activity. Within this environment, we have consultants who work with several languages and frameworks. This for example can be, but is not limited to: Javascript, Typescript, React, Angular, Vue, and much more. We are keen not to lock ourselves into one framework or technology, but to follow developments in the industry and adopt new, good languages and frameworks.
