##### What is PaaS?

Platform as a Service (PaaS) is a complete development and distribution environment in the cloud, where you can deliver everything from simple cloud-based apps to advanced cloud-based programs. With PaaS, you avoid the cost and complexity of purchasing and monitoring software licences. You control the applications you develop, and the cloud service provider does the rest.
