It really depends on which office I am in for the day. If I am in Dubai, my day starts early in the morning communicating with our teams in Kuala Lumpur (KL) and Perth, attending internal meetings, and preparing information for workshops.
If I am in KL, then the day starts even earlier – recovering from jet lag, meeting our team in the office, going out for client meetings, and attending internal workshops and sessions with the rest of the teams in the late afternoon.
I’ve always been very connected with our software products portfolio. 9 years ago, I started in Cegal as a Support Geoscientist, assisting customers with problems and requests on our software; building new demo datasets, create new workflows to showcase to customers and build storylines around our technology. I learned a lot about customer support and to relate to the technical challenges of our clients.
Nowadays, beyond being responsible for all Cegal operations in the region, I'm also working with the MEA team in finding a common story using all the technology and services we have developed in Cegal. I love working with data: seismic, wells, models, spreadsheets, and so on.

The constant challenge and the ability to serve international customers. A great challenge at the moment is building a sustainable and healthy business in a very diverse region. We have very different customer cultures and mindsets in Middle East, Asia and the Pacific (Australia & New Zealand); our path of becoming a global tech powerhouse for the energy sector includes understanding and adapting to the needs of all of our customers globally.
“The best part of my role is the constant communication I have with multiple parts of the company. It is always good to seek other perspectives.”

The culture of the company. I love the openness that exists within the different parts of the organization; that openness also helps to have a great work-life balance, and it is something we also transmit to our customers.
Strava. I’m always swimming, running, or cycling in my free time – all workouts are saved there and its data visualization features are amazing.
Even if you fall on your face, you're still moving forward.

My hobby is practicing endurance sports. I’m an age-group triathlete, so I spend a lot of my free time riding a bike, swimming, or running outside. I’ve done a full Ironman and several Half-Ironman triathlons, so I’m always preparing for the next racing event.
I’m also a parent of twins, Matias and Natalia, so the endurance training helps me to have a lot of energy for them when I see them at home.
I’m probably the only Venezuelan in the world who does not know how to dance salsa.
