What does a typical workday look like to you?

A typical working day for me usually starts from home with a cup of tea, then a stand-up or other customer contact, and then it's full focus with creative development and coding all day!

I go all-in for the customer I work for, and it’s often that I sit at home working eight hours straight on what the customer want finished, but it is also important to sometimes get into the office and feel the community with colleagues.

Which technologies do you work with?

I am primarily a coder, so I work with various different programming languages and technologies depending on the assignment, it could be mobile app development with Kotlin, Flutter or Xamarin, database development with Oracle APEX and PL/SQL, or something completely different.

Always fun to learn new techniques, structures and tools!

Do you have any certifications?

An Erlang certification from 2012 – my first upsala job was about developing neural networks in the programming language Erlang. Otherwise, I am more competent than certified. ;)

What drives you at work and in your role, what's fun?

The desire to develop, perform good work and be part of a great team! It is exciting to take on new challenges with new customers and fun to return for further development with satisfied customers who want to see further development when you are back.

What is the best thing about working in Cegal?

It feels really nice and important to be in a place with a good internal social climate, something I value highly.

What is your superpower?

See patterns in everything everywhere, be able to quickly think logically in many steps, see life with humor and warmth.

What is your favorite quote?

"Be what you would seem to be" -or if you'd like it put more simply -"Never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise."

I like to play with language, and the quote above is a funny brain teaser where you have to think for a while to understand what they really mean - something I like to have fun with. Also, I first came across the quote on the page for the "joke programming language" INTERCAL, which is also a play on words, humor and structures.

Which app do you use the most and why?

My self-developed diary app! I log every meal and other chore I do in the app. In addition, it is a fun side project to continue developing and building new functionality into.

Is there anything else we should know about you?

Love going on Esperanto Camps to foreign countries and speaking Esperanto with people from different cultures and nations.

Music is a big part of my life! Sings in a choir and I  play violin in the fiddler team when I have the opportunity.
