Available on the world’s leading software development platform Github and distributed via pypi, the software repository for Python™, Cegal Tools is an easy to use tool for geoscientists.

«As a user, you have the choice of loading las file data and creating a well object with build-in plotting methods, or simply using the Cegal Well Plotter to visualise your data» says Hilde Tveit Håland, Senior Geophysicist / Data Scientist in Cegal.

Key benefits of the Cegal Tools package are reduced time and effort when working with well log data using Python™. Based on open source tools such as plotly, pandas and lasio, the main functionalities of the Cegal Tools package allow for simple loading, manipulation and visualizing of well logs from las files.

«As a user, you have the choice of loading las file data and creating a well object with build-in plotting methods, or simply using the Cegal Well Plotter to visualise your data» says Hilde Tveit Håland, Senior Geophysicist / Data Scientist in Cegal.
